Welcome to the CFAR Virology Core Laboratory at UCLA

The Core Laboratory provides testing services, blood and blood cell products and other specialized services to research labs working with HIV and other related viruses.  A dedicated and fully stocked BSL 3 level lab is also maintained and made available to researchers conducting independent experiments.  We are able to assist individual researchers with special projects related to HIV detection. 

All lab services are provided on a recharge basis.

RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

3.25.2009

Due to the UC holiday on Friday, March 27, the Virology Core Lab will be closed. We will resume our normal schedule on Monday, March 30.

We will not be able to obtain any blood products (including cord bloods) for our users this Friday only. Please contact us by e-mail or phone to request blood products or phlebotomy services for next week. We will respond to all messages as soon as we can.
P24 samples can be dropped off Monday morning if you require our assistance to access the lab.
