The Virology Core Laboratory provides testing services, blood and blood cell products and other specialized services to research labs working with HIV and other related viruses. A dedicated and fully stocked BSL 2+ lab space is also maintained and made available to researchers conducting independent experiments. We are able to assist individual researchers with special projects related to HIV detection.
All lab services are provided on a recharge basis.

Debbie will be at a conference from Jan 27-31. During that time, we will NOT be able to provide phlebotomy services for our researchers.
If you need donors February 1 or 2, please let us know by Wednesday Jan. 25 at the latest so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

In observance of the winter holidays, the Virology Core Lab will be closed from Monday, December 26, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012.
No leukopacks, PBMCs, phlebotomy services, media, or p24 testing will be available during this time period. RT-PCR machine use will be restricted to those with 1st floor BSRB access.
We will follow our regular schedule the week of Dec. 19-23:

If phlebotomy services will be needed after January 3, please notify us before the break if possible.
